Sam wasn't exactly sure what to make of the small snippet of the show that he'd seen. He didn't want to believe it was true, that it was just a dumb show but he had lived every other aspect of it up until he'd arrived in Storybrooke so it was sort of difficult to think of it as just a TV show. He knew, despite not watching it, that he'd done some pretty questionable things to try and save Dean but this? Was he really supposed to accept the fact that Charlie was dead and that he was responsible for it because he'd asked her to help him? He knew both brothers could go to extremes for the sake of the other but at the cost of someone they cared about? Again? He didn't know how to process this and he couldn't talk to either of his brothers about it. If Dean found out....there was no doubt in Sam's mind that he would kill him. What may have been worse was that Sam actually thought he might just deserve that.
After spending a day or so with his own thoughts he knew he needed to get out and he needed to talk to someone. Someone removed from the situation but who understood enough about his lifestyle. Almost immediately he thought of Gretel. Not only did she fit that criteria but Sam felt a connection with her. He found her easy to talk to and he was comfortable in her presence, which is more than he could say for a lot of people.
Once he'd stopped by the store to get a few supplies for the coffee machine he made his way over to her apartment. He knocked once on the door then waited for her to answer, staring at his feet til he heard the door open.
