It didn't matter that Aria was only a couple of states away from Pennsylvania. She still felt like she was a million miles away from Rosewood, and maybe she really was. Not a million, but maybe a trillion or a gazillion. How far away could a whole 'nother dimension be considered anyway? A place where her entire life had been put on blast on some television show that was apparently very popular. Hey, if it had a wiki page these days, then that meant it was popular. And Pretty Little Liars seemed to be about as popular as things got around here. She wasn't sure she would ever get used to that. It made her feel uncomfortable, but mostly, it made her feel exposed. Anyone who had ever watched her show knew everything about her life. Or hell, they didn't even have to watch the show. They could just read her wiki page and know her entire life story. Just like that.
It was even conveniently divvied up into seasons, for crying out loud!
Her coffee cup shook in her hand as she struggled to take a sip. It was still too early to start heading over to the Daily Mirror, where she had managed to secure an interview there already as a part time photographer, and yet she still found herself to be brimming over with nerves. For some time now, she hadn't been sure if she was going to get into college, and the only way she had managed it was by bamboozling Ezra's ex, Jackie. Hell, maybe that meant something. Maybe being pulled away from her real life and tossed into this place was a sign. Maybe she didn't have to go to college after all. Maybe a new life was waiting for her right here in this little, magical town.
Aria sighed as all these and more confusing thoughts threatened to overwhelm her mind. She found a cozy booth toward the back of the coffee shop and slumped down into her seat. This place, though not at all like Rosewood, still had that small town, homely feeling. She thought that if she could get away from Rosewood then maybe she could finally work to get her life back together, and this seemed to be as good a chance as any. If only her friends were here... It hadn't occurred to her how much she missed them until she pulled out her phone and realized she didn't have a single message to read. Usually, it would be blowing up by this hour of the day (as early as it was), because of another one of A's escapades. Aria hadn't wanted to think about A, especially since her last memory was a particularly traumatizing one, but she couldn't help but notice how much calmer she felt knowing A was in another dimension altogether.
Maybe this won't be so bad after all.
