From what Dean could tell from his little brother's network post, he didn't know. He was still in that room and attempting to summon Crowley from the depths of Hell. Dean knew how rough it was for Sam when that happened, he'd once been in the same position as he was in. He didn't blame him one bit for wanting to cut a deal -- but Sam was wrong. They'd both been wrong. If hindsight was twenty-twenty then...Dean didn't know how to explain what happened after the Metatron fight to a guy who was still mourning his brother and then tossed into a place where his brother was magically not dead. Dean felt a shock down his spine at the idea that he could tell Sam or not tell Sam and save himself so much trouble of not having to deal with his brother breathing down his neck for the duration of the time they were there. It was suffocating back from...where he was from. The time he was from. But he could have the idea of insuring that maybe his brother wouldn't make the same mistakes he did last time. He could tell him and avoid his brother from talking some douchebag into selling his soul for a "demon" to kill his cheating wife. He could tell his brother and save the demon that his brother would torture. It'd save a lot of brain cells if he did could tell his brother everything that would go down. Maybe then Sammy would go upstairs before the fact, see Crowley. See what he had become and they could have a "heart-to-heart" before Dean went to release some of the pent of energy he had. But didn't even think this place worked like that. In fact, it was so good to be true he was sure it didn't. That and he knew that darker side of him -- if Sam had burst through the door at that moment he couldn't promise that his brother would be getting out alive. He had sicced Cole on him after all. No remorse nor thought of what the world would be like without Sam Winchester -- he just wanted him out of his hair. Now he just wanted him off of his back. This place offered that to him and more. Dean had already been messaging Sam from the Rabbit Hole, leaning against the pool table because he honestly had nothing better to do with his life. There wasn't exactly much to do in this place when someone didn't want to be there. There was maybe hustling for beer money, but that truly could get him so far before word started catching that there was a pool shark in the bars. At least he had friends in low places. Even in this place. Dean was starting to think he had a type. He didn't even have to turn around the moment he heard the door swing open and he knew who was making a bee line towards him, a smirk crossing his lips a little even. "Heya Sammy, got you a beer. Was thinking about getting you one of those fancy drinks with the little umbrella in it, but...thought you could use something to make you a little less Incredible Hulk and a little more Bruce Banner." He broke out into a full on smile when he turned around only to get greeted with a splash of holy water. He didn't miss that. But at least he could pretend for a little while. |
