I had forgotten how freeing an afternoon ride can be.

Though the stablemaster told me today that he could use some assistance, if any of our village's newcomers have some affinity for horses and are still looking for work.

Hey, everyone.

My name is Kitty Pryde. Back in my own reality, I was the Headmistress of the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning. Here in Storybrooke, I've been working with Mayor Mills to set up a communal space for all the youth, both local and displaced.

Basically, the point is that the Storybrooke Youth Center will be opening soon, to give the kids and teenagers in Storybrooke a place to hang out and have fun in a safe environment. There will be areas for athletic activity, as well as places to socialize, and even to study once school rolls around. What we're hoping is that we can create a space where the young people in town can interact in a safe environment that promotes positive attitudes.

The point of this post is that the center will need staff. I will be running things, along with my colleague, Logan Howlett, but we definitely need more people in order to get this operation up and running. If you're interested, please contact me here, or you can email your information to me at pryde.katherine@storybrooke.gov. We really appreciate any support that we can get.

Also, classes will be staring at the Elementary, Junior High and High Schools, as well as the Community College, on September 3, the Tuesday following labor day. All children and teens under the age of eighteen are required to register for school. Please use the following form to provide your information, or that of your child, and we'll get them into the system so that they're registered for classes.

Dmitri and I are working on getting some premises. My idea is to open a kind of gym/training place where we can offer classes in self-defense and some more advanced things for those with more experience in that kind of thing. There's a ton of paperwork and we'll actually have to find a space, but in the meantime, I thought maybe we could organize some more informal stuff. Someone mentioned just sparring out in the woods, which could definitely work.

So maybe we could get a virtual show of hands for who's definitely interested and give us an idea of when would be the best time for you guys/

I found an issue of Guns and Ammo. I got to say the guns here are rather primitive and antique. Not even calibrating them would help. I suppose they get the job done however. Damn I miss my rifle.

I don't like this. I don't like that I'm here and Nessie is in Forks. I don't like knowing that anything could be happening there and I'm stuck here. I really hope that I'm not starting to go crazy, being away from her. I'm getting really restless just sitting around worrying and wondering if whatever magic brought me here will bring her here too. I know I should find something to do to try and occupy my time, but that's easier said than done.

Faith's post got me thinking. There are quite of a few of us fighter types here, right? This place seems pretty nice and quiet, but I don't want to lose my edge. Is there some kind of place here we can all train together? I mean, if the rest of you are interested. I haven't even seen a gym in town and a girl has to stay in shape!

It's a rare week when I cannot think of a fashion in which to apply my skills and talents. Job hunting when you are both out of your element and cut from your usual means is awkward at best. At least there's a bonus in that I do not have to worry about fighting with my family at every turn.

Okay, so magic brought me here? I could say this is the weirdest thing that has happened to me, but I'm really not sure. So much has happened in the last ten years or so that if I really stopped to think about it, I might be able to think of something weirder than this.

I have a really important question though. Has anyone seen a girl named Renesmee? Usually goes by Nessie? She's really pretty, like you'd be drawn to her if you saw her and she's got brown hair and is kind of on the short side. It's really important that I know if she's here. Oh, and my name is Jacob.

While I am waiting to here back from Ms Swan about a legal guardian as I am sure this world doesn't allow people who are underage to live by themselves or with an unknown person which is my current situation I thought it would be best if I started to find my way around town and as much about this town as a I could. Perhaps someone could at least provide me answers on the first?
