Okay so my life just got 10 times more weird. First people with incredible powers back home, now magic portals that lead to other worlds?

Maine, huh? Gotta say, being pulled through a magical portal to Maine wasn't something I ever expected to cross off of my list of weird things to happen to me. Pretty sure it wasn't even on the list.

Surprisingly though, only a couple of bruises and minor cuts. Nothing major. Well, at least I didn't break anything on the way in.

Right. So I've been here for what, a couple of weeks now? I guess I should start at least looking for a job. And is it too late to sign up for classes at the community college?

And I know I introduced myself back when I came here, but I'll do it again. Hi, everyone. I'm Claire Bennet. I'm eighteen-years-old, and I'm from Texas. And where I come from, I'm what you'd called an evolved human. There's a quite a few of us, people born with different powers and abilities. Mine, I heal really fast. Like crazy fast. I've even died a couple of times.

I know that sounds like a strange thing to lead with, but I've noticed that there's quite a few people that have special abilities, and with the whole magic thing, I figured me saying this wouldn't really be a big deal. I'd be happy to explain it anyone if they wanted me to.

Snow is pretty...for a little while.

I signed up for classes at the college today. A little late, but I was going to school back home, so why not? Might as well get a decent education while I'm here.

Guess I should start going shopping for school supplies.

Aw, hell, not again.

But at least I remember who I am, this time.

So. I was walking home, and I found this little guy.

I think I'm gonna keep him.

His name is Scamp. Since the first thing he did when I came home was wreak havoc on my socks.

Can someone please explain to me why there is a sudden appearance of multiple dogs outside?

One of them seems to have attached himself to me.

I think I want to keep it.
