The most obvious solution is that there's something in the general water supply, even if the media's idea of a truth serum is ridiculously inaccurate. But a magic spell is a lot more interesting, even if it's obnoxious as hell.

I wish the Eye was real, and the fact that our entire elaborate performance audition-slash-heist was actually a revenge scheme by a fake fed with extensive daddy issues is deeply disappointing.

And I don't think you should sleep with Merritt, Henley. He's possibly diseased and definitely old enough that heart attacks are an issue to consider and I would never get that mental image out of my head.

I resent the actual existence of Superman, because I can't fly.

You thought it was strength when I gave up paradise for you. Or, I don't know, nobility, but -- you need to understand that it wasn't. I only gave it up because you asked me to. Because I didn't want to keep you there if you weren't as sure about it as I was. It was the same kind of selfishness that got me into that mess in the first place. I would've destroyed the whole damn world for you if you'd let me, Buffy, and I'm not even sure I would've regretted it as long as we were together.

I haven't learned a thing since the First brought me back in Sunnydale.

But I must admit, the locals did try to make it somewhat pleasurable for the newest citizens of Storybrooke.

Hey. So, things have been a bit strange since I got here and I've been a little bit of a shut-in because of it. Finding out you're dead can do that to a person

But I'm Jessica Moore. You can call me Jessica or Jess, either one is fine. I'm from a little town outside of Sacramento, California, but I was studying college at Stanford when I arrived here. Oh. And it was 2005. I'm hoping to take classes while I'm here, and finish my degree in Comparative Religion. I was going to be a senior, and I didn't put in all that work for nothing.

So. I was just wondering, since there are so many people here from so many different places and words, I'd love to hear about the gods...deities...the faiths in each of your worlds. Who you pray too...if they're accessible, or sitting up in the clouds...if they're benevolent or fearful...anything.

For a place full of people with super powers, school still feels kind of mundane. I guess some things don't change.

So far there's no animal attacks, so it might actually be more mundane. That's not a complaint though.

Speaking as sort of an expert on the whole finding yourself in a world where you exist in a tv show, I feel like I should give out some pointers. I'm pretty sure these translates to all media.

- Don't Watch Your Show. (Read your book, Your Comic..etc).
- Don't google your name.
- Stay away from fans.
- Don't read anything they might have written.
- Don't look up actors.

Trust me, it'll just mess with your head. Obviously, these are just suggestions but trust me, you'll thank me.

I've ruled out toxins and head trauma. I can't satisfactorily disprove the hypothesis that I'm currently in a comatose state and that nothing around me is real, but I think it's highly unlikely that even my subconscious brain would come up with something as illogical as magical portals or even decide to base my dream world in a small town in Maine. Not that I put any stock in psychology, but wouldn't my mind be more likely to draw from locations and symbols that are more familiar or significant to me?

There is a reasonable explanation for this, and I will find it.

Somehow I ended up rescuing at least seven animals last night. Better than having to rescue people, I guess, but still. Before I take them back to the shelter where they could just get let out again, anyone want them? Right now I'm counting two dogs, three cats, a rabbit, and a turtle. Who knows if anything else is hiding in my apartment.

...I might keep the turtle though. Or the rabbit.
