modly post #15 : updates
If you haven't done so in a while, run your f-buttons, please! Also, in case you missed the new communal journal, we have an NPC journal just for recurring animal NPCs, for those of you inclined to post as everyone's favorite furry friends: wardenpets. It works in the same way as wardensnpc, including the password.
RE-SPECIALIZATION: In regards to the new specializations and skills that have been revealed from the Awakening expansion demo, once more official information about these abilities has been released, we will allow current characters to re-spec once -- however, these changes have to make sense for the character's role (i.e. a Dalish elf mage should probably have Keeper abilities, but a Templar should stay...well, a Templar), and it is up to you to correct any retconning (retroactive continuity, for anyone who doesn't know the term) situations that may arise from these changes. Any new abilities related to current class skills/spell lines/weapon talents will automatically be available to your character (i.e. Shield users have Juggernaught).
An official form will be posted on the mod journal for change approvals when we know more. This is an OOC change, not an IC one -- in the future, we may allow for re-specs that happen in-game to be played out, but not at this point, and we may not be introducing dual specializations until much later on, if at all. All characters who do not have a specialization at current moment will be allowed to pick one OOCly, though you may also play/write out learning them, if you find it more interesting to make the change this way.
Any questions or requests? As usual, just comment us in the drop box. We like getting comments. They're easier to keep track of on this journal than conversations in chat, because we don't actually record anything we say in there, and can't always remember wtf we just said. It's way easier to PM us or comment us on IJ than in there. Seriously. If you have an important mod question, please do not ask us in chat. K bai.
EDIT: With a little bit of internet digging, we've stumbled across a digital version of the Collector's Edition PRIMA Game Guide for Origins, and have reformatted their Traveler's Guide page for your viewing pleasure here -- however, utheriel's transcription is still awesome because it's easier to sort through for information (and I'm too lazy to make a table of contents with anchor tags). But if you want a single page format, it's all on that page. Enjoy!
