BUT SINCE WHEN DOES HE RAPE PEOPLE? Is there some part of relevant Whoniverse canon that I am totally missing? If so, could someone please tell me what it is, so that I can KEEP MISSING IT? (I mean, aside from that thing with Owen in the first episode of Torchwood. That scene is made of ick. And if you agree, don't google for discussion on it, because half the forum threads are full of guys going "lol, that was funny, you guys are taking it too seriously, I wish I had that stuff." I guess this is the Axe/Lynx demographic.) ...Okay, skimming the fic, the author seems to have gotten the Time Agency mixed up with the Rape Agency, and Jack ("Seth") has had some kind of horrible personality transplant and should be on every Sexual Offenders list ever. 0_o Never mind. I did see the Rape/Non-Con warning, but I saw that it was a Big Bang fic (and therefore long) and assumed it had something to do with the plot/character arc. Question Meme! [25 Nov 2009|06:01am] bleaknimue [ mood | sleepy ] Questions from strangemodegirl: 1. How did you discover your talent for creating such creepy, and wonderful creatures? Trial and Error, honestly. I've always loved making dolls, but it took a lot of frittering about and playing with stuff to come up with the techniques and designs I'm using now. (and about 10 years. :P) D: I think a little bit of everything I learn ends up in my dolls at one point or another. ^_^ Creepy wise, ummmmm... I like to put a little bit of asymmetry in everything I do? and I like worn and used things, so I try and make my stuff look lived in and alive. ^_^ (also, I like teeth. yus. :P) 2. What drew you into the world of anime and Japan in general? I love learning Japanese! ^__^ I took a class back in '97(?) because it was available and the teacher was fun and kinda just took to it. ^_^ I've been taking classes and doing self study off and on since then. (so, like 12ish years? O_o;; dang time flies!) I've been thinking of taking the JLPT next year if I can brush up enough. We'll see. I actually watch way more dramas and movies than I do anime. ^_^ It's a good way of picking up pronunciation and picking out dialects and stuff. (especially when I watch them with the subtitles turned off.) And there's some really fun stories. ^_^ (and mythology/historical/documentary stuff is always fascinating, too. ^_^) 3. You have so many amazing talents (cooking, baking, sewing, doll making, tarot reading, best friending), what is your favorite? What do YOU think you do best? Ahahaha... ummmmm... I'M REALLY GOOD AT BEING ME. yus. :P and hostessing with the mostesting. ^__^ Although Thanksgiving is giving me anxiety this year, but that's pretty much just this year in general making me anxious. :P 4. And try and hit up a bunch of international art/craft workshops along the way. ^___^v There's an awesome sculpture workshop in Italy I've had my eye on for a while and making ball-jointed art dolls in Japan would rock! ^____^ oh! and then do Penland. :D I DON'T WANT MUCH REALLY. [22 Nov 2009|10:31pm] kaesa So last week I posted about the Archive Of Our Own, which if you missed it is being called AO3 because AOOO sounds like a basset hound. But I didn't really post as a reader. It didn't occur to me because I had just spent several days uploading all of my fanfiction there. (Well, that I still like. I actually do have two Greek mythology fics that I haven't posted there, but the second one is a sequel to the first, which was written in high school and has some gender issues I'm really not proud of.) Anyway, after all that posting, I had kind of expected people to read my fic, but I hadn't actually gotten around to reading their fic. And omg you guys, AO3 is great for fic-reading. At least for me. ( AO3 as a reader. ) Anyway. Please. I don't care how well it works, I don't care that it works on a multitude of levels. I don't care if it'd be cute (and about a quarter as creepy as Quistis/Kairi is!). I don't care if it makes a lot more sense than any other Kairi pairing in existence, Sora/Kairi included. But the Nonsense of Sora/Kairi is another show rant. Aaaanyway, no one would read it. Even if it is a really good idea-- No. No. If you try and steer it in that direction, and we know that the one-sided Rinoa/Kairi in Braceletverse is enough, I will turn this brain around and write...umm... Basilisk 6.01 Update [20 Nov 2009|05:45pm] bleaknimue [ mood | accomplished ] [ music | My insane cats running all over the house. ] So about a year and a half ago, upstart_crow asked me to make a basilisk for her. And I said sure! I'll look into it! and then I'd start a piece and hate it, and talk to her a bit and write stuff down and start another piece and hate it and almost finished a piece and hated it and... you get the idea. But Wednesday evening I decided that DAMMIT I WAS GONNA FINISH A BASILISK! D: D: D: So I sat down and called karadin for moral support and made an AWESOME armature that I am happy with! ^____^ YAY!! She's got the Armature 2.0 design and is a little over 15" tall right now. Her tail is completely articulated as are her arm, leg ankle and wrist joints. ^_^ Whoot!! BasiliskYAY!
