Where To Go, What To Do? (Open)
Ace had lost track of the both the Doctor and the TARDIS. But, she wasn’t worried; they both would show up when she needed them. They always did. Meantime, she needed something to do. So after playing with Godzilla (How bloody cool was that!), she just wandered around the City. This whole place was starting to remind her of one of the Doctor’s little tests, the one where he wants her to figure out what they have to do to save the universe. If it was one of his tests, she wanted to figure out why he had brought them here before he should up with his vague clues. So if he wanted to leave her here alone until she figured this out, that was fine with her.
She’d show him. Not only would she figure out why they were here, she’d figure out what they needed to do to fix everything. She didn’t need the Doctor to tell her what to do. She had gobs of experience at this sort of thing.
Ace was in no real rush to solve this… whatever, though. She thought this City was wicked. One of the first things she found while wandering around was a shop that sold all sorts of chemistry supplies. She made a note of it’s location; knowing she would be back to pick up the things she needed to mix up some more nitro-9. The TARDIS had everything she needed, but who knew how log it would be before she could get back there. Best bet was to find someplace to crash here in the City and set up a mini-lab somewhere.
Right now, the girl from Perivale was doing little more than leaning against a wall, lost in thought. She was studying her latest experiment in explosives, a smaller, more compact version of her nitro-9. She found a small, more spherical container for the volatile explosive. This was much subtler than the deodorant cans she usually used. It also made it all more stable. At least that was her hope as she tossed the sphere from one hand to the other.
But even the casual tossing of high explosives was being to wear thin. “Something really needs to start happening,” she said, sighing loudly. “Aside from one over-sized iguana, this place is starting to be as boring as everywhere else.” She was so desperate for something to do that she was even thinking about going to check out that community center she saw the fliers about.
