At mention of still being friends, Eric sighed with relief. His friends slowly were dwindling in number and to lose another would be a tragedy indeed. Not that he would ever truly be lonely, Macklyn would always be there one way or another, together or apart. John didn't know about Macklyn, they had never discussed mates or kin of any kind and Eric felt the both were better for that. It just served it complicate things.
"I'm glad we're still friends," Eric replied, honestly. The relief swept through him.
"So what would you like to do with the rest of this night? Surely you came here for some other reason than to make up with me?" Maybe that had been the sole intention but it wasn't guaranteed that he even would have been there. It was a lucky shot that he was.
