"I probably should." She agreed. She didn't move from his touch. In fact, she leaned into it some. She felt connected to John, though maybe not as much as she did to Pam. "I was thinking of making sure of what I can do before I did, but if I can't do it, then somebody should be there to make sure I don't die."
It was logical.
"It only feels overwhelming when I'm full of energy that isn't death. It feels like it's too much to take." Melody reached up and touched the metal bits on her face. "These don't control that very well. They're aces at keeping the death stuff tamped down, but the other just feels like it wants to burst out of me almost immediately."
She paused. "Oh. Did you mean emotionally? I ... well. A little. But only because I'm not sure what Pam will say. What if she thinks I'm too much risk now?"
