Liv nodded. She felt a little calmer once they were outside. She didn't feel much if any pain, but she could feel the coolness of the night breeze against her pale skin.
"Blaine, the zombie that infected me at a boat party, used his disease to infect rich people. He infected henchmen under him to murder the homeless and runaways and charged a premium to his blackmailed clients for brains. Major worked at a youth home and looked into the kids that were disappearing. When he found their base of operations, he went in guns a blazing. Blaine hurt him badly and he was bleeding out.
"He didn't care that Major killed his crew, he threatened to infect more people to work under him and continue making new clients as he pleased. I'm pretty sure he infected a few people in the police department, too, to cover up his entire operation. There were only two doses of the cure. I gave one to Blaine and then I infected Major instead of letting him die.
"I didn't do it because Major wanted to live, I did it because I couldn't see him die. That's the first decision I'm not sure I can stand behind. The second was when he let me know how... I don't know if he even cared enough to hate me anymore but he didn't want to be a zombie... so I used the remaining dose on him. Humanity be damned. And...
"I am really not a good person."
It felt good to confess.
"I'm the last person that deserves a cure."
Liv didn't know why, but it was important to her that Bruce knew exactly what kind of person that she was.
