Liv nodded. She knew all about keeping people at arm's length to keep them safe. But he hadn't moved yet, they were having a nice moment, bonding over their shared monster traits. Liv finished her slice of pizza in silence.
Thinking about it, she sighed heavily and leaned in against Bruce, using his shoulder as a head rest. Maybe it was too close, but he'd shift if he was uncomfortable and she could deal with the embarrassment. It was better than the alternative which was aching loneliness and worry.
