Bruce grabbed a slice, trying not to show the least bit of concern for her condition considering her present state. Changed shirts aside. He did manage to get a bite or two in before she asked if he was leaving. Turning to look at her, with his mouth full, Bruce nodded.
Swallowing, he set his pizza slice down, and sat back some against the cushions. "Yeah. I have a friend in town, Tony Stark, who has a place that's accommodating to me." He glanced over at Liv, "I don't want to leave you behind but I want to keep you safe, and to do that I can't stay here. Stark Tower has a containment facility in case I have an outbreak. It has special protocols in place so that it won't release Hulk out on the City without a password. Only I know it. Well, JARVIS knows it too, but he's not programmed to release me unless I give him the word," Bruce explained.
His shoulders slumped some, "I don't know what I'd do with myself if I found out something happened to you and that I was behind it. I don't remember much of anything when I'm...like that, so I don't think I would recognize you. Honestly, Hulk recognizes very few people from what I've seen, and it takes a very long time for him to get that comfortable. Even then it's still risky since he's unpredictable."
Bruce hoped she understood. He was trying to keep her safe.
