Aidan risked a small smile. Gratitude and relief mingled in him, making it possible. In everything that had gone wrong in the last while, maybe something was finally going to turn around.
"You know what? I think I believe you." He'd have to see how long it took for the hunger to come back, of course, but right now there was hope. He felt satisfied and full, and he hadn't felt that in too long. With normal blood, as soon as he was done drinking a bag, he wanted another. Right now he felt as if he might be able to go a few hours without. Maybe longer.
It was foolish to hope that he would be down to one bag immediately, but at the moment it seemed as if it might be possible. Aidan felt lighter.
