Matt could hear multiple heartbeats, all of he purring in synchronicity. He knew there were more cats than those that had escaped and still he held no judgement against her. So she liked cats? That wasn't his call. He didn't run the place, to each their own.
"I can understand the need to help them. No worries. I'm not going to report you, Liv." It was an honest statement. The tone of her voice, the panic that he might be there to take the beasts from her was present. He wouldn't. It was not his place but he couldn't speak for the other tenants in the building.
"I hope they find good homes. Every animal deserves a good chance to have a great life with someone that takes time for them. Cats especially." Cats could be so independent, each needing their own realm of attention. He hoped she could acclimate to that demand.
