Peggy shook her head at Siggy, frowning, "I would never ask you to do any of those things, Siggy, nor anything at all that you did not want to or that made you more uncomfortable in a world that all of us are uncomfortable in already." She gathered by the snap of a word that had left the other woman's mouth that whatever the term meant it was not very nice at all. And directed towards the more modern women.
Thinking for a moment, Peggy glanced about her apartment. She could smell the tea brewing and tilted her head.
Then it hit her. "Would you like to start a garden? Grow vegetables or herbs or plants...anything...?" They couldn't rear livestock but maybe they could claim a section of land nobody wanted and put up some kind of community garden. Siggy would have something to do with her hands and be able to bring something up and feel confident where it was being grown from.
