At the idea of slaughtering any kind of animals in order to have fresh meat, Peggy wrinkled her nose. "We shall have none of that here, thank you," the agent replied. She filled the kettle with water and dropped a couple of bags of loose leaf tea into the kettle itself before it met the stove. She turned on the heat, dried her hands on a cloth towel and then made her way back to the couch.
The idea of asking Steve to butcher an animal seemed like too much. She couldn't even brave the courage to ask him and the Lieutenant to dinner, much less ask them to kill it so they could eat it.
"The market here has ample fresh goods. It may not be fresh from the animal itself but very close. I suspect that you shall find it to your liking if it's prepared well. I should do my best to keep the ice box stocked and the cupboards full."
