Sinking herself slowly down on to the vacant cushion alongside Siggy, Peggy turned her attention to the women on the screen. When the description was given, Peggy shook her head, "Women don't always have enough to keep themselves busy and instead of knowledge they seek profit only in conspiracy." Peggy then turned to her guest, "How much telly have you watched today?" It was a simple question with no bite to the words.
"I picked this up for you in case you were hungry," Peggy breathed, setting the small bag within reach if Siggy wanted it. Within the folded paper was a Danish with cheese and sweet cream. They were quite delightful and were probably better couple with a cup of tea.
"Would you care for some tea?" Peggy hoped Siggy would fall victim to the moving picture box and would find other things in the world to excite her.
