John's arm went around the petite vampire as she wrapped her arm around him, and though he tried to less pleased about the other Pam's leaving, he didn't completely succeed. After all, though he didn't react to her releasing him, the grip had been unpleasant and now his boxers were riding up on him.
When his Pam pulled away he released her naturally, then tilted his head. He couldn't tell if she was happy to see him. Though, she wouldn't have been checking on him too much if she was unhappy about him being here.
He half smiled at her and stuck his hands in the pockets of his denim jacket.
"I'm fine. I had some of that... True Blood?" he said, making a sligh face. Even if he hadn't decided to learn to hunt before he'd tried it, he'd definitely would have considered it after. He could see why his family turned their noses up at the replacement feed unless they were in great need. "Eric found me, in the City. I just moved my things in at Purgatory."
As Pam settled in front of him he chanced leaning down and giving her cheek a soft, quick kiss. However it felt to meet a version of her who didn't like him, he was glad to see his true sibling.
"I came to find you, yes. For the reason you... both touched on," he stood a bit straighter, and looked down at the shorter woman. "I want to learn to hunt better. And how to avoid trouble in a town where we're not in control. I was hoping you'd be willing to show me."
An off-putting meeting was far from enough to deter him, he was intent on adapting as quickly to City life as possible, for his own and his family's protection. He knew from coming home fro a warzone once that it wasn't enough just to understand duty and be able to fight; civilian life was dynamic and senstive at times. Existing among people as a soldier had been difficult for him for a time, and so far existing as a vampire hadn't gone that smoothly either.
