Her hand found his own again and she shook. She had learned that gesture of greeting during her time on the island.
"It is aright. I look forward to it," Ariel replied, and she meant it. She hoped he wouldn't take too long either to come and find her. She wouldn't wait forever.
"You can show me all of the sights." It was a promise she intended to keep as long as he would honor his end.
"Farewell, John." A breath, and a smile, and then Ariel pulled away and turned. She left the store and became one with the busy night.
