Jo couldn't help but smile at the compliments. It wasn't the first time a guy had told her that she was attractive, but she didn't hear many people commenting on how brave she was. Usually they took one look at her and figured that she didn't know how to do the job or that she was just another damsel in distress. She didn't mind proving them wrong, but it was always nice to find a guy that she didn't have to prove wrong.
She was also aware that he was potentially flirting with her. She couldn't say that she minded, though it was a bit of a jolt. It almost felt disloyal to Ted to be enjoying another guy's company like this. And yet... he was gone and she was pretty sure that he wasn't coming back. She was also pretty sure that he would have wanted her to move on. She knew that if the situation were reversed, that was how she'd feel.
So there might have been a hint of bittersweet in her expression before she gave him a sly smile and raised her drink in a return toast.
"I have no complaints about the company myself."
She downed her drink and it might have been obvious that she'd spent a lot of time around bars.
