The guy barely registered with Jo as he barreled past her and made quick work of the arachne. She stood there, gaping at the man and the metal claws, as well as the beheaded creature on the ground. If she was willing to admit it to herself, it was kind of hot to see a guy who could take care of himself and anything else thst came along to cause trouble.
She also might have had an inkling of who this guy was. It wasn't that unbelievable, considering that she had a friend who was dating a superhero and she knew that there were a few in the City. She wasn't starstruck, but who didn't think that Wolverine had a certain appeal?
Not that she was ready to think too hard about that. She was still grieving losing Ted, though knowing that he was probably better off at home had brought her a lot more closure than she usually got.
She nodded to the guy who'd just saved her life.
"Thanks. It's not often that I find something that isn't bothered by bullets. I'm Jo. Uh, you want to help me check out the rest of the house? I want to make sure that there aren't any baby Arachnes in there. I also need to see if any of the girls he took are still alive."
She hoped. She really hoped that there was someone left to save here.
