He was out of the booth in literally a split second, not bothering to leave anything additional for the waitress. Any interest in the 'date' itself was fleeting and had finally gone. Because now, it seemed, the mood had changed.
Logan followed her to the door and then out to the bike, mounting it once he had paused beside it. Once she was on and secure Logan pushed up the kickstand, started and bike and backed out of the space, turning it in the direction of the city commons.
It didn't take long before they were back at the secluded cabin, and Logan drove down the long driveway to the house. He stopped the bike where it had been before, went through the motions of securing it and turning it off, before helping her down.
