He nodded gratefully at her answer. He wasn't used to being in groups of people who didn't know him. And the looks he was getting from a man across the table were more than a little...unsettling. He didn't dare focus on the emotions the man was emitting.
"It all looks wonderful. I eat a varied diet. Everything looks delicious," he said, leaving out that his delicacies were the pungent taste of bad eggs.
"No, and despite appearances I'm not one for living outside. I've been spoiled by regulated temperatures and filtered water, I'm afraid. And the new chill has made things a bit more difficult. Though it seems as though the water is warmer which is odd. I can only assume it's The City's doing.
"I would prefer something close to the pond and as The City is amoebus in its locations I fear that wherever I end up won't stay where I need it. Ideally, some place with a large water tank would be available, but I don't see that happening either. I suppose my expectations are too high. I should just bite the bullet and see if I can find a place with a suitable sized bathtub, instead. --I'm so sorry. I can't help but notice your attraction to that hairy fellow over there. Are you two friends?" he asked interrupting his small talk. He had noticed the glance and the emotional response from Beauty had been all but palpable.
