While her father had choosen Green, Effie had decided to break with the family tradition and instead dressed in red, her skirt floating about her as she skipped up the path, humming a Christmas carol to herself as she reached out, knocking on the door. She was alone, leaving Timmy behind for the night after a long day of presents and far too many cookies.
She wasn't sure if Bruce was going to come, he had been busy on a project and while he took time for family, she wasn't going to interfere with his work.
