Telling someone to stop being scared or else what they were afraid of would happen wasn't exactly the most reassuring sentence. Then again, Dinah was pretty sure that it wasn't meant to be reassuring. Not exactly. It was an ultimatum of sorts. Or at least, that's how it felt.
Dean was still upset and hurt and she couldn't just make that better with an apology. She knew as well as anyone that once hurt was inflicted, it couldn't be fixed all that easily. It took time and actually changing the behaviors that caused the hurt. There were some things that couldn't ever be repaired, no matter how hard both people tried. She didn't think that this was one of those things-she hoped that it wasn't. And if he was willing to stick it out while they tried to work through things, she was glad. She gave his hand a squeeze but didn't quite return his smile.
She did, however, raise an eyebrow and look at him.
"Blackbird? Really?" she shook her head. "No leather pants, I promise. And you can pick what you want the jacket to look like. Or we can just take one that you already own and upgrade it."
She thought that it might not be a bad idea for him to wear the kevlar lined jacket while hunting too. Any extra protection was a good thing, right?
