Dean didn't move. He didn't smile. He just stared with a hint of lost boy in his eyes. The way Dinah was giving news he'd been waiting to hear for a while, well, it seemed that there was bad news. This was good news, very good news. So, why was she giving it like it was bad?
His lips pursed as he worked this one through; he didn't like not understanding, and he felt that there was more to the story. He really didn't want there to be more to the story; in fact, more to the story seemed like a very bad idea. A big hairy bad idea.
"Okay. What made you decide to do that?" And, that was when it hit him just what could be the bad news. He didn't rush to conclusions; instead, he sat and waited, though his jaw clench might have suggested he was preparing to be unhappy.
