Jo realized that she couldn't sit anymore. She stood, but didn't go too far. She paced a little bit and then cast Wash a furtive glance.
"Sorry, you're right. That was a bit vague. You know what I do, of course."
She'd given Wash enough details on her life as a hunter. It seemed only fair to share that information, particularly while they were sharing custody of a five year old. Besides, she figured that it was important to explain why she had so many weapons around the house. The weapons were currently in a gun safe, but he still deserved to know why they were there she thought.
"The friend that she turned into a dog-he's a hunter too. He's promised to keep this to himself for now, but Wash-Sam is one of two hunters in the City that I know of and I'm not sure what they'll do if she keeps turning people into animals. Sam's offered to help teach her control, but if we can't find a way to make sure that she won't change people into animals without their permission... I'm not sure how Sam and Dean-the other hunter-will react."
She waited for Wash' reaction. It was one thing to worry about Maxine misbehaving or accidentally turning people into animals. That was bad enough. But the fact that they potentially had to worry about her safety because of what she could do... that really didn't sit right with Jo.
