Sam took note of the newcomer to the bar and couldn't help but watch for a moment as the man stubbed out his cigar. That hair... Not many people wore their hair like that. And this place had certainly drawn in comic book characters before.
He looked over at Dean's question and shook his head slightly.
"I'm pissed, to be honest. I think I got complacent about the City and didn't dig enough to figure out that we're just the all-you-can-eat buffet."
Maybe the City wasn't specifically eating the people it took, or maybe it was. Either way, it had just grabbed who it needed and thought it was okay to keep them in limbo. And that pissed Sam off.
He gave another glance to the man sitting at the bar next to them and tried not to stare even as he tried to figure out if that was indeed who he thought it was. He was half tempted to get Dean's attention and see what Dean thought, but there wasn't much chance of doing that without being overheard. The bar itself wasn't overly loud and considering that they were practically shoulder to shoulder, their conversation wasn't private.
"First round's on me," Sam said, waving Dean into the stool on his other side. He'd invited, so it was only fair.
