"I believe we might be. I was noticing the familiarity of the scenery when passing by. It wasn't until we finally came here that I realized how close we are.
"Though I am looking for...less rustic accommodations. So far the pond has been...mm...doable," he said with a shrug.
He followed her, clinging to the book with both hands as he was led back to the heart of the house.
"I will be brief, then," he said, reading her embarrassment loud and clear. He touched her shoulder and handed her the book suddenly with an air of business.
"I'll attempt a read while the tea continues steeping?" he asked, having made his way to the entry of her room as he remembered it and waited for her hand to open the door.
