She pointed with a backwards crook of her finger over her shoulder. "Not the pond in the City Commons?" she asked, gesturing vaguely toward her door, and the park beyond it. "We're not neighbors, are we?"
That would be delightful!!
But then she was reminded of why he'd come here to begin with. "Oh, right --" she said, stepping backward and then heading toward the door to her library. "Maybe my..."
She blushed and her steps came to a halt as she stepped into her great room. She'd never had anyone in her bedroom before. Rubbing at her heated cheeks a little, she grinned sheepishly.
"Maybe my bedroom," she finished, "Is the best place for that. We often talk, there."
The bedroom hadn't even existed when Thomas Townsend had stayed with her. When he'd stayed, the place had been a single room cottage, small and perfect for her. It'd only blossomed into this larger habitation later, when she started taking in people who needed a little help. And now, of course, she had Pixie with her. It was very nice having a friend living with her.
