Dinah had read the news story about a serial killer turning herself in and had been surprised to see Effie's name attached to it. She'd known that Enigma had been in and out of trouble in her time in the City, but she hadn't known that it was that bad. She still wasn't sure how to feel because the memory loss had sent the young woman back to a simpler time when she seemed to still have her morals mostly intact. That made things a lot more complicated because she was essentially offering herself up to do the time for crimes that she didn't remember committing. On the other hand, the families of the victims deserved closure and justice.
It was with a heavy heart that Dinah accepted Bruce's request to meet up. She liked him quite a bit and though she thought that he and Enigma were a strange fit, she wanted to believe that he could be a good influence on her as opposed to the other way around.
She spotted him in the play area at the park and took a seat in the swing next to her friend.
"Hey. How are you doing?" she asked softly.
Whatever else she might be thinking about the situation, the truth remained that his wife was currently in jail and facing perhaps a lifetime in prison. She could only imagine how he must be feeling.
