"The Doctor, curious," Abe said, but nothing else. It seemed to be as good a nomenclature as any. He'd heard odder just as appropriate. Hellboy, of course, on his mind. His own name, when knowing the history of it, was just as inappropriate. He could deal with the label 'Doctor' even if it did give an air of pomp in implying he was 'the' doctor.
He worked his hand after the contact, picking up on some conflicting emotions and thought a moment about mentioning them.
"I'm sorry I don't mean to...pry, Doctor," he finally decided to say, softly, "It's just...I can't help but sense some dis-ease. I'm an empath and, I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds, having just met you but...are you alright?" Abe asked, his head tilting to the side and hand up, fingers wiggling slightly in reigned in intrigue.
