Christine - For Erik
Christine had always been one, well since arriving here, to enjoy such events. She knew how they had begun to please Erik as he liked to see his Opera House full and whatever pleased her husband pleased Christine. Of course, she had planned her outfit with careful consideration. There was a slight hint to her husband in her costume but that was not new. When it came to grand public parties she tried her utmost to reflect Erik. It seemed to make sense to her. She openly wished to praise and show off her husband to the masses whilst feeling the innocent pride that he would be returning with her despite any other potential admirers.
She had him. He had her. And she could not be happier.
Christine had chosen a delicate and simple white gown and had elegantly attached wings to the back, completing her outfit with a subtle halo. How appropriate for her angel. Her husband. The only items of jewellery adorning her figure were her wedding and engagement rings. She needed no other items of beauty on her, they spoke more than anything else would.
She awaited him at the side of the staircase, knowing she had her part to play as always. As he made his entrance her heart began to flutter. It always did when she saw or even thought of him. She waited for the perfect time to step forward and remove the mask, as instructed, and then placed the rose in the chosen position in his lapel. Once it had been placed correctly she eagerly took his hand with her grin showing her love to everyone watching. As she watched her beautiful husband she vaguely heard the beginnings of the orchestra.
"How grand an entrance, my love. All eyes were on you and rightfully so."
