Leto left his chair, then, and sat on the floor beside her chair. She looked withdrawn. And of course, she would be, if she cared at all about Wash. Something told him she did. "I like your stars," he said, tapping a finger just above one of the blue starbursts.
It seemed that if he were indisposed and he had a young charge in his care, he would want his friend to ensure that said young charge was well. Leto had come to see Wash -- but Wash was secondary, now. Visiting with Maxine was more important.
