Abe had slept...alright. It certainly wasn't preferred to sleep in a pond, but there wasn't exactly an aquarium he could sneak into. Or, at least, there wasn't one he could locate.
His attempts to get in touch with Hellboy and Liz had been useless so, tired and not getting anywhere, he had found the small body of water and decided he'd be clearer headed in the morning.
Abraham floated to the surface with precaution. He wasn't sure how he felt about the others in the City and he half expected for one of them to be waiting for him to surface.
What he found was much more terrifying. He yelped at what he initially thought was an enormous column falling into the water but turned out to be all the more frightening floating over the water. He found himself very quickly on the other side of the pond as ducks scattered away from his form.
Still halfway in the water, back against the far bank, he took the visage in fully, breathing heavily.
