"Well retrieve your belongings, then, and find you a new place to be." Hannibal nodded. He hadn't thought that River would want to return to that apartment for good. She needed a new start now. She needed something that she could claim as her own in her new found freedom.
"Then let's make a dinner." He smiled. "We'll arrange for something once we've accomplished the first task of getting you a new home. Then we can use this space to host it, since it's big enough."
He turned to the lawyer. "River will be the one to organize all of this. If you would make yourself available to her, I would appreciate it. She's running the show on this gathering, I'll only be there to assist should she ask for suggestions."
Hannibal very much wanted River to create the exact night that she desired. He wouldn't interfere in any way, not even with the menu. If - god forbid - she wanted french fries smothered in cheese and bacon, she would have them.
