He hadn't really considered Maxine's abilities to be 'special circumstances', mostly because the girl had control over herself. It wasn't like she was wildly allergic to peanuts and couldn't eat lunch with the other kids, or needed a ramp to get to class, or had seizures.
Ted frowned. He thought about Maxine and what he knew about her, and couldn't piece it together.
"Alright. She gave another kid a duck head." He crossed his arms over his chest. "What did the kid do? I don't mean after, obviously there was probably freaking out about having a duck head. Before. What did the kid do to deserve a duck head?"
Not that it was okay to give people duck heads, which was something that he would discuss with Maxine, but there had to be a catalyst here. She didn't just randomly choose a kid, he was sure of that.
