"Mmm." Edward replied softly to the noise he'd earned for the kiss. Edward wanted to make those sounds, to hear them and he craved them above anything else. Those sounds meant satisfaction, which meant they were okay. That they would survive anything and last. That was all he needed, the assurance. So those sounds he needed.
Edward held Jonathan as Nightmare rushed forward, watching the landscape rush past. Eddie had never really been one for horses, but he liked Nightmare. And Jonathan adored her so Edward couldn't find it in himself to complain too much.
"I love you." Edward breathed into Jonathan's ear as they rode, fingers curling into the fabric of Jonathan's clothes. He never wanted to be any less close to his lover. His husband. His best friend. Jonathan was all he needed and it was moments like this that Edward felt invincible.
