Lois liked to think that she was the Queen of the bullpen. Some of it was a facade after all because if you acted like you were the best damn reporter in the bullpen, eventually that would become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Or something along those lines.
In trying to size up the competition and keep fighting for the tight spot, Lois had made it her responsibility to keep an eye on new hires. Which was why she was ready to play welcome wagon to the Voice's newest hire. It was funny because she didn't remember there being an opening at the paper for a writer. But then again, that was always the way of the City. After all, she'd woken up at a desk in the bullpen when she'd first arrived here so it seemed as though the City and by extension, it's only newspaper, didn't exactly care about things like having the right amount of writers.
Lois put on her brightest smile as she put herself into Maggie's path. Yes, she had done a little digging for information on the newest reporter.
"Hi, I'm Lois Lane. Welcome to the Voice," she said cheerily as she offered her hand to the other woman.
