He followed Lois into the cafe, it being in the usual spot around the corner, not finding it to be too crowded. He looked around at the people enjoying their food and beverages, taking a seat at a table across from Lois, the one she picked, settling down into the chair.
He perused the menu, but decided that his appetite had dissipated, and he set it aside instead, looking at her instead, willing to answer her questions, even if it did make him a little nervous.
"No." He replied, shaking his head at her. "I have a doctorate in nuclear physics, you see, and I was hired by the government to combine this top secret serum that changes regular soldiers into super soldiers. They wanted me to create a bomb using gamma radiation." He explained, sighing, looking down at the table, "it exploded. There was an accident, these people crashed their car into our facility and the bomb was damaged. Some people got out, some didn't make it." He said, licking his lips, before looking up at the reporter again, "I should've died that night in the explosion. Instead, somehow the radiated serum exploded all over me and it changed me. I turned into this monster." He said softly, making a face, "it only comes out when I get mad. I fought the vampire out of self defense. He brought it out and it was a draw."
He swallowed, hoping she couldn't see how uncomfortable he was, but he was sure he did. She was a reporter, she saw more than normal people should.
