Was it dangerous to wander off with a man who might very well be a real life Jekyll and Hyde? Perhaps. But Lois had done worse in pursuit of the truth. Sure, there was a lot to be said for a byline and that was what drove her much of the time, but there was also that underlying need to know. Whatever there was to know, the need was there. Beyond that, there was the need to make sure other people had access to the truth. She had certainly done some thinking, particularly in her time in the City, about what sorts of truth needed to stay hidden away from public eyes. But that didn't stop her from wanting to know all of it that she could possibly get to.
So she led the way and smiled as she shook Bruce Banner's hand.
"The least I can do is buy you lunch. There's a great deli that's sometimes around the corner. Do you like pastrami?"
