He knew she was some kind of journalist, and he felt bad about lying to her, so when he heard her ask about who won the fight, Bruce sighed and instead of answering her question he figured he should just come clean. "We had a standoff. It was a draw." He said, hoping she would get the hint that he'd thrown out at her. Maybe it would be safer if people knew what they were dealing with, so it wouldn't be a surprise later if anything showed up. At least maybe it would encourage people to stay out of its way and not try to fight it. They would most certainly get hurt, or worse.
He had known that it was a draw because when he'd shifted back, they had been standing face to face, and though the vampire had looked disheveled, he was still on his feet for the most part. A draw. That's what Bruce wanted to think, anyway.
