Not anywhere linked to her old home. Not anywhere linked to her old timeline? No Dr. Wells, doing his damnedest and succeeding at curing cancer? Or maybe no Dr. Kellis, trying to fine-tune the cure for the common cold? And if they were really lucky, no Robert Stalnaker to write that horrible piece of muckraking that started the whole damned panic and led to the Kellis cure getting out into the wild. She sat very still while that chain of events played out in her head.
"Yeah," Maggie said, still distracted by the complete and overwhelming thought of a world with no zombies. No Kellis-Amberlee zombies, anyway--apparently, some things were universal. "In my timeline, two years from now, the zombie apocalypse happens. Well. It's not really an apocalypse from my generation's point of view since we're still around, but my parents' generation is still pretty pissed about the whole thing."
She gave him a doubtful look. "If you found a cure, it probably wasn't Kellis-Amberlee. Just... trust me on that one. Especially if it wasn't bloodborne." She gave a rueful shake of her head. "Thankfully, nobody's figured out how to transmit KA through the air. Yet." Not for lack of trying.
