Interruptions for breakfast (Dinah, Ollie)
(Morning/afternoon/a day or so after this)

They didn’t come out of that bedroom for a while, and he really didn’t feel like getting out of bed when he finally woke up, his arms still around her. Dean felt good. He was home, and he felt damn good. He pressed a kiss to her skin and held her. Part of him wanted to wake her up and have some more fun, but the part that was in control - Sam might jokingly say “for a change” about that - wanted to simply be, here, with her.

He gave her a soft squeeze, trying not to upset her or wake her. His hands softly rubbed and petted at her skin. He was so very comfortable and on a nice side of peaceful, which wasn't something that happened often in his life.

----

Dinah was on the verge of waking up when she felt the kiss. She smiled to herself. Her muscles ached just a bit in all the right ways, and she was content. Reality threatened to intrude and she knew that eventually she would have to tell him about the blood that she’d found but for now, she simply wanted to be in the moment.

Her arms wrapped around him as well and she gave him a squeeze before tilting her head to give him a lazy smile.

“Morning.”

She laughed softly.

“If it is morning. Not really sure how late we were up last night.”

It was possible they had stayed up the night and had slept the day away. She really didn’t know how much time they had spent getting reacquainted, so to speak, but she knew that she was glad they’d been able to have that much uninterrupted time. It wasn’t often that there wasn’t something going on that was taking either one or both of them out of the house and possibly putting them in harm’s way. So for now, she was just glad that they were both whole and together.

She leaned over to give him a light kiss. It was tempting to go for a repeat of the previous night, but it was also nice to just be at the moment.

“I have to say that’s the best I’ve slept in weeks,” she said with a grin. “You really know how to wear a girl out.”

----

"That's what I live for?" Dean laughed, squeezing her tightly. He ignored the gurgle in his stomach that said it wanted attention. He didn't want to move from that particular spot, with her. There was nothing, not even the promise of apple pie that could get him out of the bed at that moment. Nothing at all.

Oliver had met with the mayor, he'd been keeping abreast of new arrivals; now it was time to gather his flock, so to speak, to discuss the state of the League. He was aware that one particular little bird was back in action, and no longer living at Wayne Manor, but rather above the florist's shop where a certain hunter also lived. Oliver didn't care to invite Dean to the meeting, but he was trying to think of a way to not invite him without being rude.

He was trying not to make assumptions, but he wasn't stupid. As close as the pair had been growing in the wake of the vampire incidents, it was only a matter of time.

The chance that he might very well be interrupting something as he buzzed the doorbell may very well have given him a small amount of perverse satisfaction. But he would never admit it, even to himself.

Dinah groaned as she heard the doorbell. She burrowed her head into Dean's chest.

"Maybe if we ignore them they'll go away."

She really didn't want to get pulled back to reality this soon, but she also couldn't shake the worry that she might be ignoring someone in need.

She sighed and then rolled over to fumble for something to wear. She finally settled on the shirt that she'd been wearing the previous day. She leaned over and placed a quick kiss on Dean's lips.

"We'll continue this later," she promised.

She wasn't sure if he'd decide to follow her to the door or stay where he was, but she did run her fingers through her hair enough that she didn't look like she'd just rolled out of bed as she headed to the door.

Maybe she should have taken more time to actually fully get dressed, and maybe she should have given more thought to who might be at the door. It was possible that she had been expecting Zatanna or Fred. The idea of the man who wasn't really her ex-husband showing up hadn't really crossed her mind. Which was why the surprise was clearly etched on her face when she opened the door to the emerald archer.

"Ollie. Um, hi."

Dean didn't get up immediately after her, but he wasn't going to let her face whoever had the balls to ring their doorbell alone. He pulled on a pair of jeans and grabbed up pair of boxers for his housemate. He also claimed a t-shirt to put on once Dinah had the boxers.

His brow lifted at the blond male standing in his doorway. The hunter stood for a moment, in nothing more than the jeans, with boxers and tee in hand. He looked between the two blonds. Rather than stepping away, Dean came up closer to stand right behind Dinah, his hand with the boxers lightly pressing into the small of her back.

"Hello." His brow lifted slightly.

Well. That answered that question. There was no reason why Dinah couldn't answer her own door in just a nightshirt, but there was no mistaking the way that Dean came up behind her as Oliver was greeting his fellow crime-fighter. Oliver took it all in, from the surprise on Dinah's face at seeing him to the arch of Dean's brow, and offered them his best camera-ready smile.

"Good afternoon," he quipped, "I hope I haven't come by at a bad time." He didn't bother waiting for an answer before addressing Dinah. "I'm trying to get the League together to discuss some things in person, now that those of us who are still around are all back in the city, and since I heard you were back in action, I figured I might as well drop by and make sure you knew you were invited." He glanced at Dean again. "Have you two had any luck figuring out the vampire thing?"

Dinah recognized the camera ready smile all too well. She had seen Oliver unhappy but faking it often enough to know when he wasn't thrilled about something.

He might not be her ex, but he had still expressed his concern about Dean and back then they had been just friends. Dinah didn't have any desire to hide their relationship, but this wasn't necessarily how she'd choose for people to find out.

She accepted the boxers from Dean and gave him a grateful smile. The t-shirt covered enough, but with the awkwardness of the situation already, she didn't mind additional clothes. She took his hand and gave it a brief squeeze before putting the boxers on.

"Why don't you come in?" she offered and took a step back.

If they were going to discuss vampires, that was a conversation better had behind closed doors. Dinah did think it was strange that Oliver would ask about Eric when he'd been one of the members of the League to order her off the case.

Dean didn't stand down. He simply pulled on his shirt and didn't offer to leave. His eyes narrowed at the blond; he knew who the guy was, in more than one way, to Dinah. His lips pursed at the question, yet he didn't say anything right off. He just stepped to the side. Dinah wanted the Robin Hood wannabe inside, he'd let him in.

"Eggs, babe?" He rested his hand on Dinah's back; not waiting for her answer, he started walking away. Perhaps he was being somewhat kind in not kissing Dinah before he left. Or, maybe he was going to let her decide how this went. Or, maybe he just needed something to do before he actually did or said something someone may not like.

He started pulling out what would be needed for the breakfast. Thankfully the food was ready to go, as if the City knew what he wanted to do. He had bacon, eggs, toast, butter. There would be juice and milk too. This wouldn't be exactly the first time he'd cooked for her; although if he were asked, he would admit that cooking for the other blond in the room was odd.

Oliver didn't particularly wish to discus the vampire. He'd made his opinions clear on the matter, along with his distaste for continuing to discuss it. He just didn't believe for a minute that Dean or Dinah would have left well enough alone--especially when they couldn't seem to leave each other alone.

He also had no desire to share their morning- or afternoon-after breakfast, but he was somewhat relieved when Dean left the room. If Dean could refrain from lifting his leg and marking his turf, Oliver could at least try not to start a pissing contest of his own.

"Should I take that as a no? Good. I won't take up your time, I'm just here to as you personally not to miss this meeting. It'll be good to have you back."

The tension in the air was palpable. Dinah had watched Dean go before turning her attention back to Oliver. She appreciated that neither man tried to escalate things into some sort of macho contest, but she didn't really know what to make of it. Murphy had once told her that she thought Oliver had feelings for her, but Dinah knew that this version of Oliver hadn't dated his version of Dinah so she didn't really know what might have happened or if it simply was a case of transferred feelings.

She did feel bad that Oliver wouldn't have a chance at whatever future he could have had with his Dinah, but she also knew that she would never have been able to simply brush aside all of the baggage from her Oliver. And when it came down to it, Dean was the one she wanted. Whatever anyone else might say about him, he was the guy who had been there for her over the last year and he had this way of making her happy, even with everything she'd been going through since Jake had disappeared.

Dinah did appreciate that Oliver at least seemed to be biting his tongue in regards to Dean. It wouldn't have gone well if he'd tried to give her a lecture. She sighed in response to his question and shook her head.

"That was a no," she confirmed.

She studied him for a moment, considering the invitation to the meeting.

"I'll come to the meeting. I can't promise much beyond that because I'm not sure if I'm ready to rejoin the team, but..." she shrugged. "I would like to meet with the team and catch up on recent events. I think we're all needed now more than ever."

Ollie had tried to be there, but Dinah had pulled away, and Dean was always just one step ahead of him. It stung, a little. He saw too much of himself in Dean, and he didn't know how Dinah couldn't see that. Why she could forgive Dean's past, but still blame him for things some other Oliver had done. But that was a conversation for another time, or maybe never. So he swallowed his pride and forged ahead.

Keep calm and carry on.

"To be honest, I don't know how much of a team there is left to rejoin. The flock has all but scattered, and everyone is doing their own thing. Part of the purpose of this meeting is to find out who is left, and what I have to work with. Even if I have to track you all down in person and grovel."

It wasn't that Dinah was angry with Oliver for the other Oliver's past transgressions. She just couldn't separate that face and voice from her strong feelings, both bad and good, and she believed that he deserved a fresh start with anyone he might get close to. She was still navigating the waters of being friends with him, and she was glad for that friendship, but anything else would have veered into strange territory indeed.

She softened a bit at the idea of the League being scattered. It hard hurt being edged out of the hunt for Eric, but they were still the team that she'd helped put together and it was sad to see them scattered like this. She truly believed that the City needed a team like the League-especially with everything happening. She could only hope that Oliver could unite them and get them all to work together where she had failed.

"I'll be there, Oliver," she told him. "And I'm sure that if you invite them, everyone else will be there too."
