League of Extraordinary Tabloids (Zee)
Ollie was, and at the same time wasn't surprised that Zatanna had contacted him. Oh, they'd face off a time or two in his world, but once she got over her necromancy kick, she wasn't so bad to be around. Of course, this Ollie obviously hadn't been hit by her magic champagne--things like that were always funnier when they happened to someone else.

He felt a little sorry for Dinah, but something told him that she'd had some quality time with her new beau that had been long overdue, and--not to sound like a cold bastard--but it was better her than him. Oliver Queen's Drunken Orgy would have been a much better--read: much worse--headline than Oliver Queen Parties With Would-Be Mayor. Granted, they'd all gotten a mention, but at least Dinah hadn't been entirely the main focus. That was...something.

Of course, now he was going to have to keep an eye out for the paparazzi, who were going to be convinced that he and Zatanna were an item. At least he had experience ducking the press.

The paparazzi were becoming a pest, but at least Shadowcrest seemed to be as disgusted by them as Zee was. The house had taken to shuttering the windows whenever a camera showed up too close and setting off the alarm system which would inevitably get the neighbors complaining to the cops. Since Zee didn't technically have an alarm system there was never any proof so the only damage was a patrol officer scaring off the shutterbugs. Maybe now the press would believe that she wasn't dating anybody...which was kind of depressing, actually. Zee sighed at herself often these days.

She arranged to meet with Ollie for coffee. It was a risk being in public, but damn it! She wasn't hiding! She refused to wear a hat or sunglasses, and she would have refused to use the damn cane except her knee was still not happy about her being hit by that truck no matter how many healing rituals she did.

So she was only limping slightly when she came into the coffee shop looking around for a blonde head.

Ollie really didn't do disguises either--at least not when he wasn't wearing bright green leather--and he didn't really care what people speculated about his love life. So he was blond, bold, and beautiful, in business casual as he waited for Zatanna.

Seeing the exotic-looking brunette, he stood, and pulled out a chair for her--holding up a finger to stave off any arguing from the independent woman. "You know you love it. And besides, we might as well give them something to photograph. Just in case."

She gave him a roll of her eyes and a chuckle as she slid into the seat gracefully even with the cane. "If I had gotten the announcements out for my new act in time I could totally milk this and get the free press to work for me." Then she shook her finger at him with a good natured grimace of a smile. "And you just like the attention."

"You're probably right about that," he admitted, shrugging his shoulders with a look that said can you blame me? He slipped into his seat, and stirred his coffee idly. "So how is the new act coming?"

She shrugged a shoulder. "Same act, new city. Just have to dust off the dove and rabbits." She chuckled with a wrinkle of her nose as she laced her fingers together to prop under her chin, her elbows finding their way to the table. "And take it easy on levitations until this knee is better just in case they start working as badly as my teleports have been going."

He nodded. "The old pulling rabbits out of pants gig," he teased. "Always a classic. So! What was it you wanted to talk to me about? The Justice League? You might have to get me up to speed here, I'm still a bit behind the times."

She fought back the urge to stick her tongue out at him but then decided to make him wait while she ordered a mocha from the waitress before answering his questions.

Once the woman was gone she looked back to No-Beard Ollie and shrugged her shoulders. "Dinah and I want to reform the League. Here in the City. And since you and I come from different places and times there really isn't anything for you to be behind on." If she didn't have to bring up her getting kicked off the League she wasn't going to.

Ollie chuckled. Clarke had tossed out the term 'Justice League' at one point, a few years back, but it hadn't gone anywhere until recently--and they didn't really call themselves anything. Only Chloe's operation had a title. And it seemed that in most people's worlds, Chloe wasn't even part of Watchtower. That role belonged to someone else.

He shrugged. "I sort of figured the 'league' had been reformed when we all pulled together to storm Arkham. We're just waiting for the next big job."

"So then we can count you in?" There was a serious look in her eyes even though the tilt to her head was more girlish. "No weirdness working for Dinah?" It was an important point. Dinah hadn't given Zee the impression that there would be awkwardness on her end, but she wanted to have all of her bases covered here.

Ollie gave a wry laugh. "Look, where I come from, Dinah and I haven't really even dated, okay? So if there's any awkwardness, it's not coming from me. Honestly, this constantly having to reassure people that I'm not out to get her is kind of getting old."

He wasn't offended. He just didn't know why they'd bother with the invitation if it made Dinah so uncomfortable. "I mean, I know she's got the whole new relationship thing going on, plus the whole mom thing. I'm not going to be offended if she'd rather keep her distance."

Her brows lifted a little and she held her hands up in a surrender pose. Even though he hadn't been at all harsh she got the impression that she crossed a line that apparently had been stomped across a million times now.

"Whoa, okay. Sorry." She gave him an apologetic smile. "I'm still getting used to this whole alternate universe stuff, but maybe being the resident mystic I should start trying a little more. So. No awkwardness all across the board. Moving on. Okay?"

"Okay," Ollie said, letting out a breath. "Sorry. I don't mean to be defensive, it's just. I am trying to be drama free for once in my life." He shrugged. "Would be nice for at least somebody to recognize the effort. Unless this is my clue that I need to...try harder."

"Ollie," she paused then wrinkled her nose with a smirk, "assuming I can still call you Ollie because honestly, I'd feel weird calling you 'Oliver'." She chuckled quietly then hunched her shoulders up.

"I'm looking at this as a chance to redeem myself for the epic fail I made a year ago. I'd like for all the familiar faces to be there. I trust you guys."

"Please do," he said, smiling at her. "We've all had our epic failures, believe me. This place is like the great equalizer. Or something like that. It's a new leaf for everybody."

Her smile became more easy as she nodded. "Good. I kind of like that idea."

Then something changed in her smile, making it a tad more mischievous. "Besides. That archer costume is just too damn smokin' to allow it to collect dust."
