This City, while it kept providing for her, even going so far as to find some of her deeper desires, her unspoken wishes and making them a reality (She'd recently found an article she'd wrote published here, and she'd always wanted that before Foreman had....). It was also still not home. It was keeping them here against their will. House was not here. Chase was not here. Foreman was not here. Wilson seemed happy enough! But then he didn't have a serial killer.. a cannibalisticserial killer as a boss either.
House would have found her discomfort hilarious. Hannibal the great mystery/challenge. Cameron wasn't sure if she was going to be sick, or if she was going to enlist some other crazy to deal with him. A super hero? A legend? Or just the cops?
But first she had to find the hospital again. It was her day off, but like every other day off here, she just had things she could catch up on and she hardly knew anyone outside of the hospital save Gwen and Sir Guy.. and she hadn't seen either of them in ages.
She pulled out her cellphone and tried to access the GPS feature.
"I suppose you won't work because the City wants me to pull another sliver out of some one's hand, right?" She frowned at it. Sure enough, no signal.
She turned around and found.. ah.. who was that? Why did that man look severely familiar, and yet wholly out of place. And better yet, why was he dressed like he was?
And now he saw she was staring at him, and he was staring at her.
She should turn around. She should not ask him if he wanted help. She should continue looking for the hospital.
