They were the ugliest sort of bells she'd ever heard, certainly not the light trilling kind that followed her, nor the booming deep bronze bells of the musical trees of Neverland. They were angry sounding ear splitting bells. Before her little wings could even carry her to the sight of them though there were loud horrendous booms! Like cannons only smaller. The pixie had to cover her ears and her tiny hovering form curled into a ball for the duration of that noise.
After that she was careful in her approach, hiding behind drainpipes and sneaking as Peter had taught her when they traveled in London. Tink was good at sneaking, aside from her persistent golden glow, she did try to dim it but sine it echoed her life force whenever she was emotionally charged it grew brighter.
Slowly she peeked around, hearing a tearing noise and then the squeaking of unwieldy wheels. Large water blue eyes peered at the HUGE man in the long coat who was pushing another in the strangest pram she'd ever seen. What in the world? She flittered closer, hiding behind a heavy door, and closer still peering around a travel mug of cold day old coffee on a load officers desk.
The big man looked very serious, very severe and when he turned toward her she spied it! On his chest! Skull marking! He was a pirate!
She soared up with glee and spiraled down toward him, tinkling in her fae speech as she came to hover in front of him. If the pirates were here then the Lost Boys and Peter would not be far behind!
