We have a wonderfully small list of people who have been naughty! We like when the list is small. Yes, we do. Most everybody was able to fit themselves into the two week window we had, and we feel that most of the ones who find themselves on this list are due to accidental oversight and nothing more. Which makes us even happier. So thank you to everyone!

Remember, the rules for this particular activity check were that a new post or comments on a new post had to be made between August 8th and August 22nd. If we missed your character posting within this time, feel free to let us know.

It's about that time again, kids. Activity check time!

This time, we'll be doing it a little bit different. Usually we go back a week or so in posts to see if you're still commenting on old logs. This time you'll need to post something new between today and August 22nd. A new post, or comments on a new post. Your currently running threads will not count toward this activity check, even if they were just posted yesterday (today is a different matter).

That gives you two weeks to get your characters up to date. This is for all characters and there are no exceptions. At the end of this period, we will post the naughty bad list and send out emails. At that point, you will have only a matter of days to get something up before we remove you.

The following characters have not posted or commented on a new post since JANUARY 20 to today. You have one week to post for them, or they will be removed from the community. We will also be sending out an email to these people. If you are removed for activity twice in a row, you may not be allowed to pick your characters back up. Currently, due to the plot going on, if you are removed for activity you will not be able to pick your characters back up until the plot is over.

If there is valid reason you cannot comply with this, please send us an email telling us why.

Welcome to the activity check! It begins today.

You must have posts and/or comments on new posts dated JANUARY 20 or later to get a pass with this activity check. You must post with each character you have. You will have until FEBRUARY 27 to get this done. If on that day you have not had the required activity, you will be placed on the naughty bad list and sent and email. If you do not update within a week of the email, or send a reply to the email stating why you cannot, your character(s) will be removed from the community.

The activity check has been done. The following characters have nothing posted from July 25th until now. Remember it needed to be a new post/narrative/comment in a new log etc. This is the same way that we've always done it. It's done this way to be fair.

The WC activity check is over. If you have not received an email, then you're safe. If you did, then you know what you have to do.

As a ONE TIME ONLY move on our part, we're going to offer up something that has never been offered, and won't ever be offered again. Pay close attention. You only have five days to act.

We're going to give you the opportunity to drop characters with absolutely no penalty to you. This means it won't effect picking up new characters, no matter how soon you want to do it, it won't be seen as "switching" which is against the rules.

BUT. You have to reply to this post (comments are screened) and you have to do it within five days. At the end of five days, this offer is off the table, and you have to go through normal wait periods before you can drop-then-pick-up other characters. Do it here and you won't be questioned or looked at funny.

Also, if we can't get you to post unless we constantly poke at you, you'll be on this list. No action will be taken at this time, this is just to know we're watching you (*cue creepy music*).

We aren't very strict on activity here, but we like to know that people care about this game. Every once in a while we have to put on our Nun habits and get out the rulers. This is one of those times.

One last thing If you are constantly ONLY playing with your character's fandom; ONLY post open logs and wait for them to be responded to, or post for characters without asking, instead of talking to other players; if your characters are ALWAYS doing exactly the same thing every time you post for them; ONLY play with one or two other people and never anybody else; CONSTANTLY not paying attention to the thread you're in (IE - not reading before you reply); or are CONSTANTLY dropping logs, YOU WILL GET A WARNING EMAIL. We've had too many complaints pop up along these lines to let them go anymore. It's unfortunate, but it's the way it is.

We want this game to be fun for everybody. We like being easy going with certain things. But we want people to play, and play with each other. (Shhhh, you perverts) We want this to be a relaxed and friendly community, hence all the fun and strange questions, our plot chats, our crazy challenges, and all of our player-suggested whatnot. These things are important to us.

On MARCH FIRST there will be an activity check.

You must have posts and/or comments on new posts dated February 14th or later to get a pass with this activity check. You must post with each character you have. You will have until MARCH FIRST to get this done. If on that day you have not had the required activity, you will be placed on the naughty bad list and sent and email. If you do not update within a week of the email, or send a reply to the email stating why you cannot, your character(s) will be removed from the community.

If your character (each is looked at individually) is removed from the community twice for inactivity, you will not be allowed to bring them back in the future.

The Zombie plot has just a little over a week until completion. There are still characters out there who haven't had activity or notified us of hiatus. These characters will be removed from the community if they have not done anything by December 1st. Activity needs to be on posts new to November to qualify. Please be sure that you get in there if you have a desire to keep your characters here.

GOD-MODDING
» Don't do it. Seriously.

GENERAL PLAY
» The purpose of this game is that there are many different fandoms in the same place at the same time. This means you should get your character out there, and mix things up a little. Don't stick only to your own fandoms because that is really, really boring. Also, don't try to reenact entire storylines from your fandom, things here and there are fine, but this is a new place, filled with new experiences. One last thing, just because your character never ate a banana in canon, doesn't mean they can't try one in The City. (AKA - TRY NEW THINGS)

ACTIVITY
» We need to see something from you every two weeks in the form of AIM logging, comment logging, or a narrative. If you do not make this two week deadline a warning email will be sent. Activity checks will be done periodically. We're sympathetic to RL issues, of course, so please let us know if you won't be around or will need an extended hiatus. Please inform a mod directly before you go on hiatus or drop a character. Don't just announce it in the OOC community.

If you find any of your characters receiving warnings three times in a row, they will be removed from the community.

If you show no activity at all with no warning to us, you will receive an email, and then you will be removed with the option to return. If you find yourself removed from the community more than once for inactivity, you will not be allowed to return.

We felt these needed to be pointed out due to some complaints we've had and some things that we've seen. We want this game to be fun for everybody. The key word here is fun. It's a game. Godmodding makes things a lot less fun for other people. Please be careful of what you're doing, ask questions if you're unsure, ask permission to do things, and most importantly read what you're replying to and make sure your reply makes sense.

We're not very strict on activity here, despite it being in the rules, and we'd rather not feel taken advantage of because of that. We know that people have real lives, and we appreciate that. We're accepting of people who need to go on hiatus and take breaks. And we especially appreciate effort. But posting only when there are activity checks is not okay. We'll catch on, and removal will happen.

Character development is big in this community. We throw game wide plots and challenges at you occasionally, giving you a place to go with your characters and new things to experiment with. Leaving most of the play up to you guys. You decide on what you want to have happen to your characters, you decide what you want to explore. The idea of this game is that they get to meet a whole bunch of people they wouldn't have a chance to normally in a place that screws it up for everybody. That means people should be interacting with others outside of their fandoms. While we know you'd like to play with your fandom, and that's fine, getting outside of it is the whole point.

And the last point, which is not an actual rule, is log dropping. There have been quite a few complaints coming in from various places that a lot of logs are getting dropped. This really hurts the game, and hurts character progress. If you have to drop a log, please make sure that you're informing the person you're playing with. Everybody has their AIM sn and their email listed in the player contacts. Please use them. You can also PM the character journal if it comes to that. It happens to all of us at some time. But please don't make it a habit.

Notes for zombies

1. Despite the zombies originating from the monkey, animals will not be able to get infected. This is a long standing general-Zombie Apocalypse rule that I tend to like to stick to. Animals don't get infected. There are no zombie animals.

2. There WILL be an activity check after this is over with. This is significant plot and should result in some significant activity. This is not going to be a list and second chance sort of thing. If you do not participate this month, your character will be removed. You will be sent an email telling you of the removal. Characters will be judged on an individual basis. Which means a need for all PC character activity (NPC don't count, they never do). Activity must be on posts new to November. Comments on posts October 31 and prior will not count.

3. Remember that this plot is going to be generated by you, the players. You dictate what the zombies do to your characters. If your character gets zombified themselves. Some key points may be thrown in here and there by mods, but for the most part, it's up to you guys. You can make this as tame or gruesome as you like for yourselves. And keep in mind that there IS a cure. You don't have to be zombies forever. Let loose, eat some brains. Have no fear.

For those of you on the naughty list, I'm aware that you're still out there and active, so have no worries. Also, with the challenge this week, I don't think there will be any issues. There won't be any emails going out because of this. It's just a notice to be more aware of your posting.

Firstly, BB brings us a new character, Madame Xanadu (i_look).

Secondly, since I'm an idiot and forgot July 4th is a holiday, I'm going to extend the time until the activity check to the following week. ACTIVITY CHECK NOW ON JULY 12. Just to be fair to everybody.

I have two volunteers for doing ads for me, but as many of you that would like to, are more than welcome to. I can provide you with ad banners that I've already made, or you can make your own. Just let me know.

July 5th there will be an activity check. You have until July 5th to post for your characters. It's going to have to be in a new post dated from today until then due to the way things are scattered about, otherwise it's going to be far too difficult.

So, JULY 5 THERE WILL BE AN ACTIVITY CHECK

There are a few people who haven't posted in a while. I need to see something from you soon. I'm not going to do an activity check formally, but if I don't see activity, I will be removing people from the game. (There are the exceptions for this, don't worry, I know who you are)

Also, I would like to see people finish up the logs that are listed in the open logs list and start new ones as soon as possible. Some of them have been going on for over a month, and while I have no problem with that specifically, it's held up the game and there haven't been any new logs.

All Jacks who want to be should be a the Jack Log here. There's no posting order for it, so just jump in and go for it.

Dawn is the winner of the dare game, so she'll be coming up with our next dare. Then the first person to respond to that (once she tells me what it is and I've posted it), will get to choose the next one. These aren't challenges, they're more like interaction prompts.
